Guido Kangur and Oleg Pissarenko: “Silence Continues”

Actor Guido Kangur and musician Oleg Pissarenko perform “Silence Continues,” a concert programme warmly received by audiences. It brings together classic and contemporary Estonian poetry, recited by Guido Kangur, and music from Oleg Pissarenko’s latest albums, performed by the composer on mellow-sounding piano and guitar. An LP album of the same name has also just been released.

The concert evening features texts by Doris Kareva, Tõnu Õnnepalu, Jaan Kaplinski, Juhan Viiding, Aleksander Suuman and other authors, alongside minimalist music.

Guido Kangur is an actor at the Estonian Drama Theatre, who has won a place in the hearts of Estonian audiences through countless theatre roles, his distinctive charisma and his uniquely resonant, persuasive voice. Oleg Pissarenko is an Estonian musician and composer whose search for musical truth has led him to a minimalist sound, heard, among other places, on his latest album *Seisundi Muusika* (*Music of Your Condition*).
