Skizze Drawing Evening — Monday, 2 November 2026 @ Viimsi Artium

Venue: Viimsi Artium
Model: Female model

Skizze Drawing Evening invites you to spend an autumn evening drawing and discovering new materials! Join us on 2 November from 17:00 to 20:00 at Viimsi Artium. Come alone or with a friend, pick up a pencil, and make time both to experiment and to meet others who enjoy drawing.

This year, the evening focuses on mentor stations. At each station, you can explore a drawing tool or style and learn the techniques of an artist who uses it. Visit a mentor, see how they work with their chosen medium, ask for advice, and try it yourself. In one evening, you’ll discover several different approaches to drawing. There will also be a drawing session with a model, where you can put the techniques you’ve learned into practice.

Mentors:

Maria-Kristiina Ulas
At Maria-Kristiina Ulas’s mentor station, we’ll focus on the possibilities of line and improvisation. We’ll let the line guide us and see how one mark can lead to the next idea.

Margot Kask
Margot Kask has worked extensively with Derwent Drawing pencils and knows their possibilities inside out. At her station, you can try techniques and little tips for getting more out of these pencils.

Tea Lemberpuu
At Tea Lemberpuu’s station, you can experiment with charcoal drawing and discover how expressive charcoal can be with just a few strokes. With her guidance, we’ll explore how line and areas of light and dark can give a drawing strength and character.

Toon Vugts
Toon Vugts will lead the model drawing session, focusing on depicting a person in a short amount of time. We’ll try making ink sketches with a Parallel Pen and practise capturing a pose and movement with a few lines.

A new and exciting part of the evening is the drawing challenge. Participants will have a set amount of time to complete a drawing based on a surprise subject, using materials selected by us. The exact task will be revealed only when the challenge begins. Other visitors can view the finished works and vote for their favourite. A small gift awaits everyone who takes part, and the artist whose work receives the most votes from the audience will be awarded a €200 Skizze gift card!

If you’d like to take part in the drawing challenge, select the combo ticket with the drawing challenge when purchasing your ticket. Places are limited.

The detailed schedule for the evening will be added soon. If you are unable to attend the event, the amount paid will not be refunded.

The discounted price is valid until 18 October; from 19 October, the price is €20.

Come discover new drawing materials, learn from mentors, and be part of an evening where art is created right before your eyes!
