Latvian Puppet Theatre: Mushrooms

On 25 November at 13:00, the Latvian Puppet Theatre’s popular-science musical “Mushrooms” (7+) comes to the Siguldas devons Cultural Centre. Every Latvian knows that mushroom picking is a search for hidden treasures. But there are also people who love not only mushroom sauce, but mushrooms themselves, with all their hearts. They are true mushroom pickers, forest shamans and wandering scientists, who search and study with such passion and enthusiasm that sometimes it seems they would like to be mushrooms themselves. If a “Mushroomvision” were held deep in the forest, what would the songs of the Chanterelle, Fly Agaric, Boletus or Mould be like? Passionate mushroom pickers will get into the mushrooms’ shoes and present a popular-science musical mushroom show for children and adults—one that will leave even those who have not yet been enchanted by mushrooms unmoved!
