Multicultural Family Morning: Mexico

Let’s travel to Mexico! Maailma Lapsed’s multicultural family morning helps children learn about Mexican customs, culture and everyday life in an accessible and playful way. The event is for Estonian and international families!

During the family morning, children can discover through different activities what life is like in another country: what people speak, eat and listen to, and which stories, customs and symbols are part of that country’s culture. Learning about other cultures helps nurture children’s curiosity about the world, openness to differences and ability to see that people may live in different ways while also having much in common. The family event is also a lovely opportunity to spend time together and meet other families living in Tallinn and the surrounding areas.

🌍 What will we do together?
- Find Mexico on the globe and look at its flag
- Discover what life in Mexico is like through stories, pictures and objects
- Explore Mexican music and do some fun hands-on activities
- Taste something typical of Mexico
- Leave time for free play and for families to chat with one another

Activities are informal and playful. The programme with presentations runs from approximately 10:45 to 11:30. At other times, children can move between activities and choose what interests them most.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Who is it for?
Estonian and international families with children are welcome. The aim is to explore the world while creating natural opportunities for families from different backgrounds to meet. Children can play and take part in activities together, while parents can get to know one another. The event will be held in both Estonian and English.
