MŪZIKA | Mārtiņš Freimanis 50

In 2027, Mārtiņš Freimanis would have celebrated his 50th birthday. This special concert will be an opportunity to remember his music, creative spirit and songs that have become an integral part of Latvian music. Mārtiņš’s friends and kindred spirits will meet on stage: Olga Rajecka, Ralfs Eilands, Aija Andrejeva, Kārlis Būmeisters, Kristiāna Stirāne, Elvijs Bušs and Līva Kalniņa from the group “Putnu balle”. The singers will be joined by a wonderful group of musicians under the musical direction of Jānis Strazds. The concert will be hosted and directed by Maija Kalniņa, a poet and Mārtiņš’s friend and kindred spirit since their high school days. This will be a musical story about Mārtiņš Freimanis’s legacy, friendship and songs that continue to sound even when their author is no longer on stage.
