THEATRE | A Comedy of Errors: “Funny Money!”

What happens when a completely ordinary, honest person suddenly comes into possession of a suitcase containing a million? Ray Cooney’s witty comedy “Funny Money” takes the audience into a whirlwind of events, where one unexpected discovery sends Henry Perkins’s life spinning at the speed of a fortune wheel. The simple accountant, who dreams of a better life, decides to make use of this fateful stroke of luck—but it turns out that getting a million is only the beginning. One suitcase, mounting problems, misunderstandings and a mad dash for happiness make up a light, fast-paced and absurdly funny story about money, choices and how a person can lose their head when someone else’s million falls into their hands.
