About the production and its unique cast

The show is presented by Riga Travelling Theatre “Ā” (the creators of the hit comedy “Dinner for Fools”). A truly star-studded international cast has been assembled for this production, bringing together some of the most talented actors from Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Spain on one stage. A particular source of pride for the project is the Estonian comedy duo Sergei Rõmar and Boriss Bogdanov, who already had you crying with laughter in “Dinner for Fools.” Their boundless energy and fantastic acting make every performance a true gem of the comedy genre. These guys are incredibly funny!

The plot

Heels, jazz, a double bass—and no idea how to walk in high heels! A chain of comic mishaps forces two ordinary musicians, Bill and Phil, to change their surroundings quickly and blend into the crowd. And the guys come up with what they think is a brilliant solution: join a touring women’s jazz band! They put on dresses, step into heels and become Bella and Phyllis. But how long can these tough guys hide who they really are among beautiful women and persistent suitors?

A fresh take on a classic

The director has done a tremendous amount of work: the familiar material has been boldly reworked and modernised, and filled with brand-new, sparkling jokes and unexpected comic twists. Even if you know the story by heart and have seen it before, our production can still surprise you and give you a sea of fresh emotions!
