The Sound Poets Acoustic Tour

The band “The Sound Poets” invites its listeners to acoustic concerts in 11 cities across Latvia in spring 2027. After celebrating the release of their fifth studio album, “Katram kuģim savs ceļš,” with a major concert at Mežaparks Green Theatre, the band is heading out to get closer to its listeners. Acoustic concerts, where the band’s music is performed in new arrangements and instruments are passed between musicians, have now become a regular tradition and are especially beloved by many fans of the band’s music. “After our previous acoustic concert series, we felt as if we had truly rediscovered this more intimate format for ourselves—the way we can be on stage, perform our music and connect with our listeners. The many positive comments from concertgoers confirmed that feeling. After the new album came out, too, we received messages from people saying they were waiting specifically for these acoustic concerts so they could experience the music this way. We ourselves had no doubt that we wanted to bring the new songs to listeners in this direct, unmediated way, but people’s response and interest give us extra inspiration,” says Jānis Aišpurs.
