The Polish band Boogie Boys, founded in 2003, is one of Europe’s most internationally recognised boogie and blues bands. Over 20 years, the musicians have performed across almost all of Europe, as well as in the USA, Canada and elsewhere around the world, releasing five albums. Boogie Boys have performed alongside blues and rock ’n’ roll legends such as Joe Bonamassa, Shakin’ Stevens, Ray Manzarek (The Doors), Phil Guy, Studebaker John, James Harman, Rod Piazza and Ana Popovic. A special achievement for the band was reaching the finals of the 2009 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, USA, as the only band from outside the USA to do so. The band also represented Poland at the first European Blues Challenge in Berlin, placing among the top three contestants. Boogie Boys have received recognition several times in Poland’s “Blues Top” blues poll. The band’s leader, pianist Bart Szopiński, has won the poll’s “Pianist of the Year” title 17 times. The band’s album “Made in Cali” was recorded and produced entirely in the USA, in collaboration with prominent American blues musicians. The album was later named “Album of the Year” in Poland’s “Blues Top” poll. Boogie Boys are known for energetic live performances that blend boogie-woogie, blues and rock ’n’ roll, creating a distinctive atmosphere at every venue. Boogie Boys – more than 20 years on the world’s blues stages, and music that brings generations together.
