Lauku Muzikanti are setting off on a major concert tour across Latvia titled “What Is This Story About”. This winter and at the beginning of spring, the much-loved Latvian band Lauku Muzikanti will visit audiences across Latvia with a new concert programme. A special programme has been prepared exclusively for this tour, one that audiences will not hear at other concerts. Each concert will be a celebration and a unique experience.
The programme will feature new songs, including the brand-new “Par ko šis stāsts”, as well as “Dzīvīte vējainā”, written by Normunds a year ago and warmly received and highly praised by audiences. Of course, the concert will also feature the band’s greatest hits, such as “Es Tevi atradu sniegā”, “Dzirkstošais vīns”, “Tūkstots (1000)”, “Meitene no Rīgas”, “Vēl viens dolārs”, “Nemodini mani” and “Klusums”, along with “Pāri okeānam”, “Pirmoreiz”, “Mana dzīve”, “Meitene burvīgā”, “Laimes meklētāji”, “Viens pats mājās” and “Jau kuro reizi”.
After the concert, audience members will be able to buy the band’s new album, meet the musicians in person, take a photo together and receive a special keepsake: an album signed by Lauku Muzikanti.
The band’s lead singer and frontman, Normunds Ķietis, says: “On this tour, we’ll meet from the heart. Every concert will be a celebration that you simply must be part of—it’s an occasion we need to experience together! I believe this will be an event you’ll remember for a long time.”
Joining Normunds Ķietis (vocals, acoustic guitar) on stage will be Artis Dauksts (bass guitar), Valters Līcis (drums), Gints Hartmanis (keyboards) and Andris Barons (electric guitar). Together, they create the sound that has delighted audiences throughout Latvia for years.
A special guest artist will take part in each concert. Joining Lauku Muzikanti on stage will be such beloved Latvian soloists as Paula Ķiete, Žoržs Siksna, Raitis Treijs, Māris Sloka, Ineta Rudzīte, Silvestrs Lorencs, Artis Šimpermanis, Ainars Bumbieris, Jānis Moisejs, Normunds Zušs, Ieva Sutugova, Harijs Joniškāns, Mārtiņš Kanters and Kaspars Markševics; at the Salacgrīva concert, Andris Zunde will appear.
