15th Birthday | Christmas in Brīnumskapis

Christmas in Brīnumskapis – a concert performance for families

Where is the Golden Key? The one we used to unlock Brīnumskapis for the first time 15 years ago… They say 15 songs are hidden inside. Old and new, loud and quiet, and some with brand-new teeth after all these years. Look, here it is! But will the Golden Key still work after 15 years? Let’s open it… What’s this? A DISCO has started in Brīnumskapis!

Kode is giving orders so loudly that even the proud Kaķītis Laķītis can only smile sweetly and follow Knīpas, Knauķi and the beautiful Malvīne, who learned the dance steps long ago. Oh no… Tantiņš and Rasiņš have already started eating the birthday cake! Good thing the Composer has another one reserved—or so teacher Andris says. And if even Simtkājītis is dancing on all his legs, then everyone else should get up too: let’s sing, dance and—let’s be honest—if we’ve eaten too many Karameles, let that Vēders rumble along to the real Christmas disco beat.

But what should we do with the Golden Key now? Lock the cupboard? NO! In these fifteen years, we’ve learned one thing: it’s better not to lock Brīnumskapis. There’s too little room in there for the songs, not enough space for Simtkājītis’s legs, nowhere for Puteklītes to flutter about, and nothing for Kode to boss around. So, the key in our pocket, our feet on the DISCO floor, and may those 15 years ring out in our beloved Brīnumskapis!
