Bruno Angelini Trio “Lotus Flowers” | A Musical Journey Through Jazz and Blues

At the cultural centre “Siguldas devons”, the French ensemble “Bruno Angelini Trio Lotus Flowers” will take you on a musical journey through jazz and blues. The group’s leader, Bruno Angelini, describes the idea behind the programme: “The lotus flower is the only one that grows in swampy lakes, which, like the modern world, are full of mud and dangers and inhabited by various dangerous creatures. And yet, the water around the lotus becomes pure! The lotus flower is a symbol of light and purity!” The award-winning musicians’ performance is rooted in free jazz and blues. Bruno Angelini – piano, compositions; Sakina Abdū – tenor saxophone; Angelika Ņeščera – alto saxophone. The concert was created in cooperation with the French Institute in Latvia.
