How can artificial intelligence be applied to a company’s work processes to deliver real business value? What opportunities do AI solutions offer, and what technical and legal questions need to be considered when developing them? The next meeting of the Innovation Leaders Club takes us to Estonian technology company Ektaco, where we will learn about its AI solutions and hear about practical experiences and lessons from developing them.
Founded in 1989, Ektaco has made an important contribution to the development of Estonia’s IT sector. Its solutions include the Riigikogu voting system, Estonia’s first Windows-based cash register system, CompuCash, and various access-control solutions. Today, Ektaco focuses, among other things, on applying artificial intelligence in its products and services.
At the meeting, we will learn more about how AI is used to support additional sales at self-service checkouts, forecast trends in the restaurant sector, and develop the CompuCash AI agent. We will discuss how these solutions are created, what value they offer businesses, and what Ektaco has learned during the development process.
Adding a legal perspective to the practical account, Toomas Seppel, partner and attorney-at-law at the law firm Hedman, will address key questions related to developing and adopting AI solutions. Topics will include the use of synthetic data, personal data protection, and requirements arising from the GDPR.
The meeting offers an opportunity to learn from Ektaco’s experience and gain practical insights into what to consider when applying artificial intelligence in your own company.
