Afghanistan, 2021. The Taliban have not yet returned to power. Naru, the only female camera operator at Kabul’s main television channel, has left her constantly unfaithful husband and is fighting to keep custody of her three-year-old son. She is certain of one thing: there are no good men in her homeland. Then Qodrat, the television channel’s most influential journalist, offers her a chance to advance her career. As they travel around Kabul reporting stories together, they capture the city’s last days of freedom—and sparks begin to fly between them. Naru’s firm conviction starts to waver: perhaps there is a good man after all?

We also invite everyone to visit the solo exhibition “An Island in the Sea” by acclaimed artist Jane Jin Kaisen, currently on view at Kai Art Center. This captivating journey through seven films explores the depths of Korean traditions and history. Kaisen’s work is being shown in the Baltic countries for the first time.
A combo ticket for visiting the exhibition and attending the film screening on the same day costs €15 (€10 concession). The gallery is open until 6 pm, so combo ticket holders are asked to visit the exhibition before the screening.
