Peaasi.ee/Kinoteater: Ordinary Estonian Men on Stage with the Stand-Up Show “We Don’t Talk About Mental Health”

Twelve perfectly ordinary Estonian men take the stage, men whom mental health doesn’t personally affect. But they all know a guy who knows a guy who knows… In autumn 2025, Peaasi.ee and Kinoteater invited men to apply for a comedy-writing course, and by the end of the year, twenty selected participants had successfully completed it. Twelve of them will perform in front of an audience for the first time, sharing stories, experiences and incidents from their lives. Peaasi.ee and Kinoteater care about people’s well-being. This is their second collaboration based on stories. As part of Tartu 2024, people from Southern Estonia (most of them women) had their say in the project “Mental Health Is Like a Carrot”; now the focus is on the permanent crisis group: men.
