Latvian Dance Theatre: Sol do Brasil

On 10 April at 18:00, the Latvian Dance Theatre’s dance show “Sol do Brasil” will take place at Daugavpils Kultūras pils. “Sol do Brasil” is the Latvian Dance Theatre’s first large-scale project, developed over three years. It is a colourful story of movement, colour and joy, inviting audiences to immerse themselves in Brazilian rhythms and the energy of the sun.

The Latvian Dance Theatre is a creative and dedicated team of more than 40 dancers, bringing together choreography, music and theatre to create emotionally rich, artistically layered stage productions.

“Sol do Brasil” is dedicated to the natural and cultural world of Brazil. Colourful birds, exotic flowers and wild animals will come to life on stage, while the dancers embody the most distinctive Brazilian traits—openness, passion and a love of movement. The programme also features iconic Brazilian symbols: Rio de Janeiro, sunny beaches, a pulsating atmosphere and the splendour of Carnival.

The show will feature gems of Brazil’s musical heritage, enriching the story and evoking an authentic Brazilian atmosphere. Dance, music and colour come together in a shared experience that will take audiences into a world of celebration and joyful energy. The project is ready to meet its audience—to surprise, inspire and become one of the most striking cultural events of the new season.
