Muzikālā Banka 2026 Final Show

On January 30, 2027, the final show of “Muzikālā Banka 2026,” Latvijas Radio 2’s poll of the year’s most valuable pop and rock songs, will once again take place at Daugavpils Olimpiskais centrs. It will be one of the most significant events in Latvian popular music this year—a spectacular, emotional and musically ambitious show bringing together the past year’s standout solo artists, bands and special guests on stage. In an engaging, friendly musical contest, an online vote will determine which song receives the title of 2026’s Most Valuable Song.

Muzikālā Banka is a popular homegrown music poll among Latvijas Radio 2 listeners, identifying the most valuable pop and rock songs of the week, month and year. The final vote for the year’s 25 most valuable songs will begin at the end of 2026.

“Throughout the year, the Muzikālā Banka chart moves with the pulse of Latvian music: it is constantly changing, new songs enter, the leaders shift, and new tracks win a place in listeners’ hearts. This year, too, has been rich in high-quality and diverse music in our native language, so we are confident that the contest for a place in the final show will be exciting right up to the last moment. We are already eagerly looking forward to January, when we can once again come together in Daugavpils, on the radio and on screens, and celebrate the past year’s outstanding achievements in Latvian music,” says Kaspars Mauriņš, director of Latvijas Radio 2.

Dons took the honors at “Muzikālā Banka 2025” with the song “Tuvums.” “Lai tev apnīk skumt” by Sudden Lights came second, and Miks Galvanovskis took third place with “Kad izdzisīs.”

For the eighth year, Daugavpils valstspilsēta is the partner of the Muzikālā Banka final show, and is delighted to host the biggest celebration of Latvian popular music. Tickets here.
