MUZIKĀLĀ BANKA 2026 / Final Show Dress Rehearsal

On 30 January 2027, the final show of Latvijas Radio 2’s poll of the year’s most valuable pop and rock songs, “MUZIKĀLĀ BANKA 2026”, will once again take place at Daugavpils Olimpiskais centrs. It will be one of the year’s most significant events in Latvian popular music—a spectacular, emotional and musically ambitious show where the brightest solo artists, bands and special guests of the past year will meet on stage. In an entertaining, friendly musical contest, an online vote will determine which song wins the title of 2026’s Most Valuable Song.

MUZIKĀLĀ BANKA is a Latvian Radio 2 listener-favourite poll of Latvian music, identifying the most valuable pop and rock songs of the week, month and year. The final vote for the year’s 25 most valuable songs will begin at the end of 2026.

“Throughout the year, the ‘Muzikālā banka’ chart follows the pulse of Latvian music—there are constant changes, new songs arrive, leaders change, and ever more new tracks win a place in listeners’ hearts. This year, too, has been rich in high-quality and diverse music in our native language, so we are confident that the contest for a place in the final show will be exciting right up to the last moment. We are already eagerly looking forward to January, when in Daugavpils, on the radio and on screens, we can once again come together and celebrate the past year’s outstanding achievements in Latvian music,” says Latvijas Radio 2 director Kaspars Mauriņš.

Dons won “Muzikālā banka 2025” with the song “Tuvums”. “Sudden Lights” took second place with “Lai tev apnīk skumt”, while Miks Galvanovskis came third with “Kad izdzisīs”.

For the eighth year in a row, Daugavpils valstspilsēta is the partner of the “MUZIKĀLĀ BANKA” final show, welcoming the biggest celebration of Latvian popular music. Tickets here.
