Musical Comedy “Some Like It Hot”

On 13 December at 18:00, the musical comedy “Some Like It Hot” will take place at Daugavpils Kultūras pils. This is not just a production, but an immortal classic that has won millions of hearts! A cult story that has been staged for decades to packed houses on the world’s leading theatre stages now comes before you in a completely new, bold interpretation. A series of incredible coincidences forces two ordinary musicians, Bill and Phil, to change their surroundings in a hurry and disappear into the crowd. The guys find a brilliant solution (or so they think): join a touring women’s jazz orchestra! They put on dresses, climb into heels and transform into Bella and Phyllis. But how long can these tough guys hide their true selves amid beautiful women and persistent suitors? The production is presented by Rīgas viesizrāžu teātris “Ā” (the creators of the hit comedy “Dinner with a Fool”). A truly exceptional international cast has been assembled for this production: the most talented actors from Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Spain will share the stage. The project’s special pride is the Estonian comedy duo Sergejs Rimars and Boriss Bogdanovs, who already had you crying with laughter in “Dinner with a Fool”. Their wild energy and astonishingly natural acting turn every performance into a true comedy gem. These guys are incredibly funny! Tickets here.
