Spanish Flamenco in Daugavpils | Puerto Flamenco “Puro” — Avant-Garde Flamenco Dance Company from Seville

On 25 November at 18:00, the Great Hall of Daugavpils Kultūras pils will host a passionate and emotionally charged flamenco evening with “Puerto Flamenco” from Seville. “Puerto Flamenco” is an avant-garde flamenco dance company from Seville that, since 2004, has brought together authentic Andalusian flamenco with contemporary stage direction, design and an original artistic vision. The company’s motto is: “We don’t change flamenco to make it fit the stage; we change the stage to make it fit flamenco.” “Puerto Flamenco” performances are known for their untamed energy, freedom of improvisation, virtuosity and emotional intensity. Each performance is a vibrant and captivating journey into the world of Spanish culture, rhythm and passion, where dance, guitar music, percussion and vocals come together in a unified artistic experience. The company includes outstanding flamenco performers from Seville: dancers Antonio Molina “El Choro”, Abel Harana and Antonio Castro “Antoñete”; singers Jesús Corbacho and Encarnita Anillo; guitarist Ruben Romero; and company leaders Francesca “La Chica” and percussionist Andrej Vujicic. The artists have collaborated with world-renowned flamenco masters and performed at leading festivals and concert halls around the world. “Puerto Flamenco” has appeared at internationally known festivals such as WOMAD, Sziget Festival and Festival Flamenco de Jerez, as well as at venues across Europe, Australia, the Americas and Asia, earning acclaim from audiences and critics worldwide. The company has received particular recognition for preserving the authentic flamenco “duende” — its soul and emotional power, which makes every performance unforgettable. “Puerto Flamenco” official website: www.puertoflamenco.com “Puerto Flamenco” video. “Puerto Flamenco” video.
