Monthly Performance | Dance Nation | Liepājas teātris

They are 11 to 13 years old. They are dancers in a dance group, driven by ambition, friendship and passion. They are preparing to conquer the world—or, more simply, to win the regional competition and earn the chance to compete at national level. Every movement, every step, every squat takes the girls further from childhood and closer to discovering their identities. What is the price of victory? And what are they willing to sacrifice to become the best? At the heart of this performance is dance, through which the girls’ innermost dreams, goals and fears will be revealed. Watching events unfold from an adult perspective, audiences will have the opportunity to draw their own conclusions about the world we are creating for younger generations and for ourselves.
