Two SONs in Liepāja: An Exhibition by Aivars Vilipsons and Ivars Miķelsons

From 16 October to 6 December 2026, an exhibition by Aivars Vilipsons and Ivars Miķelsons, “Two SONs in Liepāja,” will be on view in the small exhibition hall of Liepāja Museum. The exhibition opens on Friday, 16 October, at 17:00. “Two SONs in Liepāja” brings together two distinct artistic styles, grounded in approximately 45 years of friendship and creative collaboration. The title playfully combines the artists’ surnames, while the works create a dialogue between line and volume, personal observation and imagination. At its centre is the human being—the body, relationships, and moments of life transformed into images through printmaking, painting, and sculpture.
