Aivars Vilipsons and Ivars Miķelsons: “Two SONs in Liepāja”

From 16 October to 6 December 2026, the exhibition “Two SONs in Liepāja” by Aivars Vilipsons and Ivars Miķelsons will be on view in the small exhibition hall of Liepāja Museum. The exhibition opens on Friday, 16 October, at 17:00. The exhibition brings together two distinct artistic styles, rooted in a friendship and creative collaboration spanning approximately 45 years. The title playfully combines the artists’ surnames, while the works create a dialogue between line and volume, personal observation and imagination. At its centre is the human being—the body, relationships and moments of life, transformed into images through printmaking, painting and sculpture.
