Aivars Vilipsōns and Ivars Miķelsons: “Two SONIs in Liepāja”

From 16 October to 6 December 2026, the exhibition “Two SONIs in Liepāja” by Aivars Vilipsōns and Ivars Miķelsons will be on view in the small exhibition hall of Liepāja Museum. The exhibition opens on Friday, 16 October, at 17:00. The exhibition brings together two distinct artistic styles, grounded in approximately 45 years of friendship and creative collaboration. Its title playfully combines the artists’ surnames, while the works create a dialogue between line and volume, personal observation and imagination. At its centre is the human being—the body, relationships and moments of life transformed into images through graphic art, painting and sculpture.
