Hansel and Gretel
A truly sweet and dark fairy tale
Based on the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm
Hansel. And Gretel. Two sweet little children with lovely names live in a little house with their father and mother, who one day… decide to take their children to the forest AND LEAVE THEM THERE.
Fairy tales have three good qualities. First, they never grow old. Dear children and parents, nothing has changed in the last two hundred years: a witch still lives in the thicket, and eating sweets without restraint can still get you into trouble. Second, in fairy tales there is always a way out of a hopeless situation. Even when it seems there isn’t one, it appears just around the corner or in the forest behind a crooked tree. And finally, third, fairy tales are a wonderful place to learn how to be afraid. Because fairy tales always have happy endings. Well, unless you’re the Witch.
