Aivars Vilipsōns and Ivars Miķelsons: “Divi SONI Liepājā”

From October 16 to December 6, 2026, the exhibition “Divi SONI Liepājā” by Aivars Vilipsōns and Ivars Miķelsons will be on view in the small exhibition hall of Liepājas muzejs. The exhibition opens on Friday, October 16, at 5:00 p.m. The exhibition brings together two distinct artistic styles, rooted in approximately 45 years of friendship and creative collaboration. Its title playfully combines the artists’ surnames, while the works create a dialogue between line and volume, personal observation and imagination. At the center is the human being—the body, relationships, and moments of life, rendered through graphic art, painting, and sculpture.
