Aivars Vilipsons and Ivars Miķelsons: “Two SONIs in Liepāja”

From 16 October to 6 December 2026, the exhibition “Two SONIs in Liepāja” by Aivars Vilipsons and Ivars Miķelsons will be on view in the small exhibition hall of Liepāja Museum. The exhibition opens on Friday, 16 October, at 17:00. The exhibition brings together two distinctive artistic styles, rooted in approximately 45 years of friendship and creative collaboration. The title playfully combines the artists’ surnames, while their works create a dialogue between line and volume, personal observation and imagination. At its heart is the human being—the body, relationships and moments in life transformed into images through graphic art, painting and sculpture.
