Latvian Winter Swimming Championship and IWSA World Cup Leg

The 19th Latvian Open Winter Swimming Championship will take place in Liepāja and will also be a leg of the International Winter Swimming Association (IWSA) World Cup this year. Winter swimmers from across Latvia and around the world are invited to gather at Liepāja’s tranquil Beberliņi reservoir, meet one another, test their strength in the cold water and compete for the title of best in various disciplines. The championship will take place on 20 and 21 November in a specially constructed six-lane pool in the northern part of Beberliņi reservoir (8 Lībiešu Street, Liepāja). Participants can compete in various distances, from 25 metres freestyle to endurance swims of 450 metres. For anyone who wants to enjoy winter swimming without the pressure of competition, non-competitive distances without timekeeping will also be available. Take part in these exciting festivities and become part of a world-scale event in Liepāja!
