Latvian Winter Swimming Championships and IWSA World Cup Event

The 19th Latvian Open Winter Swimming Championships will take place in Liepāja. This year, the event is also a stage of the International Winter Swimming Association (IWSA) World Cup. Winter swimmers from across Latvia and around the world are invited to gather at Liepāja’s tranquil Beberliņi Reservoir to meet, test their strength in the cold water, and compete for the title of best in various disciplines. The championships will be held on 20 and 21 November in a specially built six-lane pool in the northern part of Beberliņi Reservoir (8 Lībiešu Street, Liepāja). Participants can compete in various distances, from 25 metres freestyle to 450-metre endurance swims. For anyone who wants to enjoy the pleasure of winter swimming without the pressure of competition, there will also be open-category distances without timing. Take part in these events and become part of a global occasion in Liepāja!
