Jānis Niedra | Album Presentation at Pegaza Pagalms

After a warmly received concert at Pegaza Pagalms in the summer of 2025, Jānis Niedra returns to Liepāja with a new programme, new songs and the special energy that once filled our cultural venue. Singer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Jānis Niedra is setting off this autumn on a concert tour to present his new album, “New Friends Come Easier When We Forget About the Old Ones”. One of the tour’s evenings will also take place at Pegaza Viesistaba. Jānis’s musical inspiration lies in the fusion of classical music with elements of contemporary pop and rock. The concert will feature new compositions as well as audience favourites, including “Caur maniem, maniem matiem izslīd tavi, tavi pirksti” (“Through my, my hair slip your, your fingers”), which remained in the “Muzikālā banka” TOP 15 for more than 10 weeks, and “Tu, Tu”, which has appeared several times on LaIPA’s Latvian Radio TOP 10 list of the most-played songs. Jānis Niedra’s voice will be accompanied by a backing band, and his lyrical, introspective storytelling will take on a distinctive sound at Pegaza Viesistaba. Jānis received his higher music education in the United Kingdom, specialising in songwriting at the BIMM Bristol music institute. He has written songs for several well-known Latvian artists, including Aija Andrejeva, Elizabete Gaile, Elza Rozentāle and others. This time, we will hear Jānis Niedra at Pegaza Viesistaba.
