P-JAZZ | Amphitrio + Jam Session

Amphitrio is a vibrant contemporary jazz trio from Romania, distinguished by its original sound, bold improvisation and refined musical language. The trio consists of pianist and composer Andrei Petrache, bassist Aleksandru Marins (Mike Alex) and drummer Filip Goron (Philip Goron). Amphitrio’s compositions organically blend modern jazz, the moods of Nordic jazz, Balkan and Eastern musical influences, the energy of hard rock and elements of electronic music, creating a distinctive, multilayered sound world.

Pianist and composer Andrei Petrache graduated from the National University of Music Bucharest with a master’s degree in composition. His compositions have received more than 30 international awards and are performed across Europe and Asia. Bassist Mike Alex (Aleksandru Marins) collaborates with the Bucharest Jazz Orchestra, Big Band Radio, the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra, and several prominent jazz and classical music artists. Drummer Filip Goron is in demand for classical, world music and jazz projects, collaborating with the George Enescu Philharmonic and the National Theatre of Operetta and Musical in Bucharest. He is also an official SONOR artist.

Amphitrio’s concert will be an opportunity to experience contemporary jazz without stylistic boundaries—dynamic, emotionally charged and musically exciting. The evening is suited both to jazz enthusiasts and to listeners looking to discover new and unusual musical experiences. As is customary at P-JAZZ concerts, the evening will continue with a jam session, and anyone wishing to improvise is welcome on stage.
