Song Festival | Liepāja Theatre Small Hall

During the Song Festival, thousands of people can unite in songs and dances that move the hearts of thousands more. In this story, only nine of our fellow human beings meet, and yet their views on what happens at the Song and Dance Festival, and why, can lead to laughter or tears—and, we hope, nothing more tragic. Although this performance speaks about the Song Festival, the question ultimately concerns us: how can we keep our voices after all that singing, and how, in these troubled times, can we unite not only in song but also in conversation? Do we really always need a special reason to have a genuine conversation?
