Graņonka | Mikhail Chekhov Riga Russian Theatre guest performance

Tragicomic situations. A multifaceted story about the role of alcohol in a person’s life. A series of sketches, both funny and sad, with monologues, dialogues and musical numbers. “Audiences are presented with diverse stories about the influence of alcohol on a person’s life. The five actors who perform these stories are also their co-authors, having drawn inspiration from their own experiences and those of people they know. The young actors perform in a clean, functional space. Green tables are placed among the audience and used as the playing area. This metaphor of the ‘green dragon’, along with other metaphors, was created by the young, talented set and lighting designer Reinis Dzudzilo.” // Krūklis G.
