Bright Nights | Liepāja Theatre’s Small Hall

“Bright Nights” is a documentary performance about three men who were imprisoned while still young. It is a story about coming of age within the walls of a cell, as they search for a chance to start their lives anew. What leads to the moment of crisis in which a crime is committed? What inner processes do prisoners experience? And how much does the rest of society know about them? The answers to these questions are stark, but they are also threaded with humour and human longings familiar to everyone. “Bright Nights” is artist Kristīne Brīniņa’s second creative work, created in collaboration with the young actors of Liepāja Theatre. It continues the creation of socially engaged and inclusive works of contemporary performing arts. Director: Kristīne Brīniņa. Cast: Valts Skuja, Kārlis Artejevs, Artūrs Irbe, Hugo Puriņš, Madara Kalna.
