This autumn, the song story “Pasaule, pasaulīt” will come to audiences—a moving musical journey through time, bringing to life the dreams, idealism and faith in the future of the 1980s. The production is being staged in tribute to Boris Rezņiks, one of the pioneers of Latvian pop music, composer and founder of the group “Eolika”. “Pasaule, pasaulīt” tells the story of six young people in 1980s Riga. Love, friendship, ambition and songs that can say more than words. They believe they can do it, that they will succeed, that the future will be different. But life does not always go according to youthful plans. Can dreams withstand the passage of time? The six lead roles will be played by artists already known in pop music, musicals and TV shows: Dagnis Roziņš, Linn (Linda Rušeniece), Eduards Rediko, Estere Tauriņa, Toms Kursītis and Beate Megija Baranovska. Toms Kalderauskis, Una Daniela, Artūrs Biķernieks and Anna Krista will also take part in the production, along with a dance group of eight dancers. The show will feature Boris Rezņiks’ best-known songs: “Pasaule, pasaulīt”, “Tava atnākšana”, “Es neesmu Džeina Fonda”, “Zem saules vai mēness”, “Karavāna”, “Pienenīte”, “I Will Return”, “Es esmu muzikants”, “Kā es gaidīju”, “Tāla uguns”, “Eņģelis” and many other beloved melodies.
