ВИА Клюква presents a new, one-of-a-kind project that has already gone viral in Estonia and Finland! “Клюквенный морс” is a series of full-length music parties (a fun stand-up lecture + quiz + disco + karaoke), each with a new theme. “Клюквенный морс” is a refreshing mix of interesting facts from the world of music, jokes, quizzes, songs and dancing.

We’ll get together at a cosy, spacious bar, where you can:
- Learn lots of interesting things about an iconic musician, genre, sound or event—in a fun way, with jokes, behind-the-scenes details and live demonstrations
- Take part in a themed quiz
- Sing karaoke and dance to songs on the theme
- Meet great people who are interested in the stories behind the music and love to have fun
- Enjoy yourself and reminisce

The theme for Морс on January 23 is Russian rock of the ’90s and ’00s. We’ll continue looking back at Russian-language rock music that shaped another generation. Земфира, Мумий Тролль, Сплин, Би-2, Ленинград, Ночные Снайперы, Ляпис Трубецкой, Найк Борзов, Noize MC, Танцы Минус, Слот, Amatory, Stigmata, Jane Air and many other legends accompanied us on the journey from cassette tapes to MP3 players—and, of course, into our hearts.

How did the new rockers carry on the traditions of Кино and Машина Времени? How did rock musicians emerge from the underground and start earning as much as pop stars? How was rock music of the ’00s different from rock music of the ’80s and ’90s? Why did Russian rock remain depressive despite the prosperous ’00s? Where did emo and alternative music come from? And, most importantly, how did Сергей Шнуров build a business empire, why does even Пугачева love Земфира, and what did you know about junk anyway?

We’ve done the musical calculations and found answers to these questions, as well as uncovered the formula for the success of true Russian rock.

After the main part of the evening (an interactive stand-up lecture), we’ll move on to the entertainment: a quiz on rock hits of the ’00s, followed by singing and dancing to the biggest hits (get ready with songs by Земфира, Ночные Снайперы, Сплин, Ленинград and БИ-2). You can simply listen, dance, or perform your favourite songs yourself.

The event will run throughout the evening on Saturday, January 23, from 18:00 at the cosy, spacious bar Galerija 73.
