Educational Tour and Tasting at ŌBDO Gin Distillery

Take an educational trip to ŌBDO, Latvia’s craft gin distillery and Riga’s first open-access distillery, at Miera iela 29! Two brothers with Riga in their hearts have embarked on an exciting craft gin adventure, introducing the world to Latvia’s natural riches and creating a unique Latvian gin flavour. ŌBDO was created with inspiration from Latvia’s pure, unspoilt nature. Alongside classic gin ingredients, production also uses characteristic botanicals found in Nordic meadows and forests, creating a distinctive Latvian craft gin flavour.

Discover the world of craft gin while hearing fascinating stories about gin’s history, how it is made, and what is happening in the industry today. You’ll also hear the ŌBDO story, learn about the ŌBDO gin-making process, and taste both ŌBDO gin and Genever, considered the first distilled alcoholic drink to be made using juniper berries.

The experience includes:
• 1 ŌBDO gin cocktail tasting (1 × 150 ml) on arrival
• An informative talk about the history of gin and how it is made
• An introduction to our sustainability initiatives and products
• A tasting of authentic Dutch Genever (20 ml)
• Tastings of ŌBDO SŌUL gin (20 ml), ŌBDO ADŌRE gin (20 ml) and ŌBDO NEGRŌNI (20 ml)
• A tasting of ŌBDO x Rocket Bean, Latvia’s first gin coffee liqueur (20 ml)
• A tour of a Latvian craft gin distillery, including an introduction to the production process and the experience of setting up the distillery
• 1 ŌBDO gin and tonic or ŌBDO Negroni cocktail
• A tasting of authentic bean-to-bar ŌBDO DZIIVA chocolate, made in Latvia using ingredients from gin production
• Light snacks

The maximum number of participants is 18. The tour lasts 2–3 hours, depending on group size. This experience is available to people aged 18 and over. Please note that you must not drive after the tasting.

For groups of 4 or more, private bookings are available on weekday evenings on a date of your choice. For groups of 6 or more, tours are also available on Saturdays, depending on the distillery’s schedule. The maximum group size is 18. To arrange a private group booking, email hello@obdogin.com.

We understand that plans can change, so you may cancel free of charge up to 72 hours before your booking. For later cancellations, 50% of the participation fee will be retained.

For tours in English, private bookings are available for groups of 4 or more on weekday evenings. For groups of 6 or more, private bookings are also available on Saturdays. The maximum group size is 18 people. The tour lasts 2–3 hours, depending on group size. Free cancellation is possible at least 3 days before the booked date.
