Take Apart and Discover Electrical Appliances! A Hands-On Workshop for Children and Adults

Take Apart and Discover Electrical Appliances: LEVEL #1, a workshop for first-time participants! Find out what’s inside household electrical appliances and how they work. Join the social enterprise IDEAL MISTAKES HUB workshop, where you can take apart discarded household electrical appliances and learn how they work together with RTU students.

WHAT’S THE PLAN?
- We’ll go over basic safety before getting started with the appliances.
- We’ll take apart several broken appliances of the same type (tools provided!).
- RTU student Linards Reinis Rozītis will explain what’s inside an appliance and the basic principles of how it works.
- We’ll use creative thinking and brainstorm ways to give discarded equipment a second life, together with workshop facilitator Kristīna Virse!

We especially invite fathers, older brothers (18+), uncles and other knowledgeable adults (women too!).

What to bring: comfortable work clothes

Admission: 1 young person + 1 adult = 35 EUR. Each additional young person or adult costs 10 EUR.
