BROOKLYN JAZZ | A Tribute to Bebop ft. Electronica by Toms Poišs

This BROOKLYN JAZZ concert will focus on bebop—one of the most significant stages in the development of modern jazz, which changed perceptions of improvisation, harmony, and rhythm in the 1940s. Toms Poišs will explore the language of bebop from a contemporary perspective, combining its characteristic harmonic tension and free improvisation with elements of electronic music. As a result, the classic bebop aesthetic will take on a new, contemporary sound.
