Take Apart and Discover the Secrets of Electrical Appliances: LEVEL #1

Take apart and discover electrical appliances: LEVEL #1, a workshop for first-time participants! Find out what’s inside household electrical appliances and how they work. Join the social enterprise IDEAL MISTAKES HUB workshop, where you can take apart worn-out household electrical appliances and learn how they work together with RTU students!

THE PLAN:
- We’ll go over basic workshop safety before getting started with the appliances.
- We’ll take apart several broken appliances of the same type together (tools provided!).
- RTU student Linards Reinis Rozītis will explain what’s inside the appliance and the basic principles of how it works.
- We’ll use creative thinking and brainstorm ways to give worn-out equipment a second life with the workshop’s speaker, Kristīna Virse!

We especially encourage fathers, older brothers (18+), uncles and other knowledgeable adults (ladies too!) to take part.

Recommended age for young participants: 9–18 years.

What to bring: comfortable work clothes.

Admission: 1 young person + 1 adult = 35 EUR (+10 EUR for each additional young person or adult).

Seating limit: 18 people.

Safety glasses and work gloves are provided to participants.
