ISSP Professional Photography Masterclasses: Fall/Winter 2026

ISSP offers regular masterclasses led by some of Latvia’s leading photographers, for those who already work or wish to work professionally in photography. The masterclasses offer an opportunity to deepen your understanding of specific photographic genres, improve your technical skills, broaden the boundaries of your creative vision, and gain new insights into the finer points of the industry, while spending an intensive, fulfilling day with professionals and peers.

The masterclass leaders are experienced photography professionals who offer a glimpse into their practice and openly share years of experience and practical tips and tricks. Participants can learn about the day-to-day realities and behind-the-scenes workings of the industry, and get answers to their most pressing questions—both technical and content-related.

Each masterclass includes a presentation by the leader introducing the chosen topic, as well as a practical component: a demonstration of the photographer’s work, individual or group photo sessions, and/or reviews of participants’ work. The masterclasses also offer a great opportunity to meet peers and other creative professionals.

Masterclasses take place on Saturdays or Sundays, from 11:00 to 18:00, at the ISSP space in Berga Bazārs or at a photographer’s studio in Riga.

The programme is intended for experienced professional photographers, as well as those who aspire to become professionals.

The Fall/Winter 2026 cycle includes the following masterclasses:
