Prime-Time Disco: Brighten November

November is dark, November is cold. So in November, we need to share some warmth 🤗 The best way is to meet up and dance together with friends, relatives or colleagues. And if you come solo, you’ll meet other solo attendees. DJ and Radio SWH music editor Artis Volfs will chase away the gloom of dark evenings, playing the best music of all time so we can dance our hearts out for energy, joy and a good mood. 🇱🇻 This time there’ll also be a bonus: a patriotic note in honour of the upcoming Latvian national holidays. In the final hour, we’ll dance to the best Latvian music of all time.

Dress code: bright, colourful and cheerful (if you want— we’re adults, so we do as we please).

Prime-Time Disco. We start early, dance plenty... and the next day is yours.

Why Prime-Time Disco?
It’s your chance to dance in a real club atmosphere. But! We start dancing early and are home before midnight. You can go to bed on time... and the next day will still be yours—productive and energetic. Dancing is a great way to quickly switch off from the daily routine—work, family and other obligations—and get moving in a positively energising atmosphere.

The idea for Prime-Time Disco came to Dagnija Lejiņa during the COVID period. She wanted to dance to modern pop music in a real club atmosphere with great people who share an interest in improving quality of life, productivity and joy. Night-time dance parties couldn’t bring all of this together. That’s how the idea was born for an early disco for adults, held during TV’s highest-rated broadcast hours (in English, “prime time”), or during the evening news.
