This workshop is for participants who have attended “Take Apart and Explore Electrical Devices: Level 1.”* Take part in a workshop by social enterprise IDEAL MISTAKES HUB, where you can take apart worn-out household electrical devices, learn how they work with RTU students, and give their electrical components a second life!

Workshop theme: we’ll fix smart switches and hear engineers’ ghost stories!

WHAT’S THE PLAN?
- We’ll review safety procedures before working with electrical devices.
- We’ll take apart several broken devices together (tools provided!).
- RTU student Linards Reinis Rozītis will explain what’s inside the devices and the basic principles of how they work.
- We’ll use creative thinking and brainstorm ways to give worn-out equipment a second life, together with the workshop’s creativity facilitator, Kristīna Virse.

The workshop content will vary depending on which electrical devices are available to us.

We especially invite fathers, older brothers (18+), uncles, and all other knowledgeable adults (women too!). Recommended age for young participants: 9–18.

What to bring: comfortable work clothes.
