Arsis Christmas Concert: Silver Christmas Rhapsody

ARSIS CHRISTMAS CONCERT “Silver Christmas Rhapsody”

Featuring the Arsis handbell ensembles
Conductor: Aivar Mäe

As Christmas approaches, the Arsis Christmas concerts return! For many people, the most beautiful time of the year begins when the hall fills with the bright, sparkling sound of handbells. Arsis conductor Aivar Mäe says: “Our Christmas concert tradition has such a long history that we can no longer imagine the Christmas season without handbell music. Our audiences in the places we return to time and again have said the same. Traditions should be cherished.”

The programme, “Silver Christmas Rhapsody,” weaves together well-known classical music and beloved Christmas pop melodies. It also features pieces from Arsis’s newly released vinyl record, which will be available to purchase at the Arsis Christmas concerts.

This year, the Arsis handbell ensembles will visit five cities in Estonia. Concerts take place in Sindi, Haapsalu, Tallinn, Viljandi and Tartu:

17:00 — Haapsalu Cathedral
