Whisky Evening: Theory and Practice with Toomas Tiivel and Werner Vokk

Few things go together as well as a dark November Thursday and whisky. On the evening of 19 November, two of Estonia’s leading whisky enthusiasts will visit MUST PUUDEL: grand old man and author TOOMAS TIIVEL, and young, spirited practitioner WERNER VOKK.

We’ll start the evening with a classic whisky cocktail served by Werner, after which Mr Tiivel will take us on a tour of different and distinctive regions. We’ll talk about the latest developments in the whisky world and the Old World’s reactions to new trends. After the introductory theory, we’ll move on to practice. Under Werner Vokk’s guidance, we’ll taste three different whiskies and talk more about exciting whisky producers. Werner will also share news and thoughts from behind the bar. To round off the evening, we’ll serve another whisky cocktail to accompany the cocktail conversation.

Doors open at 18:00, and at 18:30 we’ll begin listening to Toomas. The official programme ends at 21:00. Informal discussion and socialising are more than welcome after the event’s official end. During and after the event, the bar will also offer a large selection of other whiskies and special cocktails created just for the occasion.

Both devoted whisky fans and those just beginning to discover the world are welcome. The evening will be fascinating, and Mr Tiivel is always captivating to listen to, even without much prior knowledge.

Admission is by ticket only, and places are limited. Tickets cost 35 euros. The ticket price includes two cocktails and a tasting of three whiskies. You’ll also have the opportunity to buy a signed copy of Toomas Tiivel’s book “Uus viskimaailma teejuht” (“A New Guide to the World of Whisky”) on site at a particularly good price.

See you there!
