Training: Revenue Generation and Financial Planning for Communities and Startups

MTÜ Virumaa Koostöökogu is organising the training “Revenue Generation and Financial Planning for Communities and Startups”. The training consists of two parts: 6 academic hours in person at Sonda Kogukonnamaja and 2 academic hours on Zoom.

1) In-person training: 17 November 2026, 09:30–15:30 at Sonda Kogukonnamaja

2) Two academic hours of training on Zoom: 24 November 2026, 10:00–11:30.

The trainer is Siiri Einaste. Siiri Einaste is the managing director, trainer and consultant at Majanduskoolituse OÜ and Arengurõõm OÜ. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tartu and has work experience in accounting, financial and project management, and preparing business plans and financial forecasts. She also has more than 20 years of experience as a trainer and consultant.

The aim of the training is to give participants an overview of the financial management of MTÜs and OÜs and the provision of paid services. Topics covered:
- Ways for MTÜs and OÜs to generate income
- Product/service pricing and profitability analysis (fixed costs, variable costs, break-even point), cost price and factors that affect it
- Budget preparation
- Taxation of expenses, including tax-exempt expenses
- Cash flow planning
- Practical advice on monitoring a budget and tracking income and expenses in day-to-day accounting

Please bring a laptop to the training. We will use Excel models for practical work on pricing, profitability analysis, budgeting and cash flows.

The training is free of charge, but please note when registering that you must notify us of non-attendance no later than 9 November 2026. From 10 November 2026, participants who cancel will be invoiced for the cost of the training. Places are limited, so register soon.
