On November 2 at 13:00, Mai Book Club meets at Mai Library. This time, the group will read books from the “My” series that are about Estonia. Published by Petrone Print, the “My…” series is one of Estonia’s most popular and longest-running book series. It began in 2007 with Epp Petrone’s debut book, “My America”, and more than 200 books have been published so far. The series has a simple premise: authors—many of whom have no prior writing experience—share their firsthand, honest and personal experiences of living, studying and working in a foreign country, a city or a region of Estonia. The Estonian books include Justin Petrone’s “My Estonia 1–3”, Aidi Vallik’s “My Haapsalu”, Piret Tali’s “My Pärnu”, Hana Kivi’s “My Lottemaa”, Mare Mätas’s “My Kihnu”, Jaan Pehk’s “My Türi”, Mika Keränen’s “My Supilinn” and many others. Everyone who enjoys reading is welcome; the meeting is held during the daytime, from 13:00 to 14:00. Mai Library is on the second floor, and the building has a lift. Event on Facebook.
