A cooking-show-style performance introducing the history of gingerbread and the origins of exotic spices and local ingredients. There are tricks and songs, as in any kitchen, because food should be made in good spirits and at a good pace. During the performance, real gingerbread dough is made before the audience’s eyes, and by the end the gingerbread is baked and ready to taste—unless it burns. A couple of times, Piip ja Tuut have got so carried away having fun with the audience that only the smell of burning reminded them someone should keep an eye on the oven.
Premiered in 2011 at Piip ja Tuut Mängumaja.
Authors, directors and performers: Haide Männamäe and Toomas Tross.
