Playful Tantra Evening in Tartu

When was the last time you played? Not on your phone or with children, but just for the fun of it, as an adult. Everyday life turns us into practical people. Our shoulders are up by our ears, our minds keep spinning, and that warm feeling towards other people tends to disappear beneath our worries. This evening, we’ll look for it again.

Three hours of movement and play, with little need for words. We communicate through our gaze, touch and voice, listening and noticing one another. Sometimes we laugh; sometimes we become completely quiet. We’ll explore what happens when you allow yourself a little more softness and set aside, for a while, the masks and roles you need during the day. Often, people simply feel alive again.

Everything happens at your own pace. Every practice is voluntary: you can say “no”, “not right now” or “something else”, and you can also just watch. Boundaries are respected, so you can relax and be yourself. You’re welcome just as you are. You don’t need any skills or prior knowledge. Men and women are welcome, alone, with a partner or with friends. Every evening is different.

The participation fee is 35 euros. Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in; you’ll keep them on throughout the evening. We’ll send more detailed information by email the day before.

About Virge Kuivjõgi

I first encountered tantra in 2010. Within a couple of years, my studies became regular, and soon I began organising tantra events in Estonia as well. In 2018, I completed Lin Holmquist’s training and Deva Vihba’s dance teacher training. You probably know that you don’t learn to swim on the shore. I think tantra is exactly the same. That’s why I’ve carefully refined the programme for my evenings and courses, so that everything important reaches you not only through words, but above all through play and experience.

I really enjoy creating these evenings. Every time, I’m moved when someone comes through the door a little cautiously and later goes home with a smile on their face.
