On 30 October, the Estonian History Museum opened a major retrospective exhibition, “White Gold: The Story of Estonian Porcelain,” at Maarjamäe Castle. The exhibition presents the history of Estonia’s porcelain industry. On Saturday, 27 March, Anne Ruussaar will lead the final curator tour of the exhibition. More than 700 rare objects from Estonia’s design canon are on display, dating from the 18th century to the present day. The exhibition covers all the major companies and the best-known artists and masters who worked for them. Since decoration and markings are important aspects of porcelain, a separate section provides a detailed overview of decoration techniques and the marks and signatures used in Estonia. The Museum Card is not valid for this event.
